Project Details

  • Level:beginner
  • Time:2 hours

Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for neither the paint nor the glue.
  • 2
Paint tray Lamp (Ebony) Black. Proceed with steps 3 through 6, but make sure paint on the tray is completely dry before gluing corks to it.
  • 3
Use computer to find font of choice for letter monogram. Print out on scrap paper and enlarge to use as a template. Draw letter on wood tray with chalk.
  • 4
Cut corks in half with craft knife and glue ends down to the pencil outline on wood tray, using the wine stained part of the cork.
  • 5
Glue remaining corks on their sides to fill the entire base of the tray. Cut corks where necessary to fit. Let dry.
  • 6
Using paintbrush, apply Lamp (Ebony) Black to the ends of the corks that form the monogrammed letter. Let dry.
