- Time:1 hour
To create the bouquet, use a wire cutter cut stem approximately 9". Make a pleasing arrangement and wire flower stems together under the flower blossoms. Remove excess leaves on stems except if any are directly under the flower heads. Wire stems also around approximately down 5".
Wrap the bouquet stems with Hot Pink Satin ribbon, starting at the top. Keep wrapping till 3" from the end of the stems then start wrapping upward. Tie and cut off at the top of the under flower blossoms. This creates a simple bouquet wrap.
Cut 16 Forest Green Satin in 10" lengths and fold each piece over, in half, to form a soft loop. Wrap ribbon ends tightly together with floral wire and leave enough to wire onto stems. Wire loops into bouquet around the base of the flowers, overlapping slightly, after each one until you work around the entire bouquet. If flowers are larger you may need more loops to create the ribbon collar)
Create bouquet streamers by cutting equal lengths of 1-1/2" Hot Pink Satin and Sheer Irid Stripes ribbon approximately 32 inches. Layer all ribbon and tie tightly as close to under the flower heads and color loops. Try to leave equal lengths for the streamer. Cut ends as you like on a diagonal. Finish off bouquet with a simple satin bow you wish.
Create the beaded spiral picks using the acrylic beads. Insert about 1" of 20-gauge silver wire through one of the loops on the caged acrylic beads. Hold the loop and wire where they overlap with a pair of flat-nose (chain-nose) pliers. Wrap the short end of wire around the intersection to hide the join and keep the caged bead from dangling. Hide wire end among the wraps. Hold loop against the shaft of a highlighter with thumb. Create 4 wraps around shaft. Once the spiral is beaded, bend the wire at a 90° angle and leave about a 3" tail of straight wire to insert in the flowers.
Create more beaded spiral picks. Insert one above the bow in the bouquet and the rest among the flowers, adding just a touch of sparkle and glitz. If flowers are large, ore may be needed.
A smaller version can be made for your flower girls or bridesmaids.
