Light Me Up Scarecrow

The versatility of glass blocks with markers, paint, glue, lights and so many other crafters' tools make it easy to create a block for every occasion. Here, fall flowers, paint and other tools are used to make a scarecrow.

Project Instructions

  • 1
    Spray outside of glass block with Yellow paint. Let dry.
  • 2
    Add facial features with Black marker and Red paint.
  • 3
    Glue Styrofoam piece to top of glass block.
  • 4
    Tie an 18 inch section of raffia into a knot at the center so that it looks like a bow. Glue and pin the “bow” to the Styrofoam.

    Cut flower stems from the bush. Insert into Styrofoam.
  • 6
    Insert clear lights into the bottom of the glass block.
