Lion Brand Color Clouds Cliff Rose Cowl
Easily crochet a stylish cowl to help you stay warm in the winter.
Use a gauge of 4 sc + 3 ch-1 sps (4") over Rows 2 and 3 to crochet a cowl that measures 26" in finished circumference and 6-1/2" in finished height. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

- Time:a few hours
1Note: Cowl is worked back and forth in rows, then twisted and seamed to make a twisted (Mobius) loop.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk next ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, sc in next ch-1 sp, *ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * across to last st, sc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, *ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * across to last 2 sts, ch 1, sk next sc, sc in last sc.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 until about 10 of yarn remains.
Lay Cowl onto a flat surface. Pick up one short end and turn it over, making a twist in Cowl. Taking care not to undo the twist, thread yarn tail into blunt needle and sew short ends together.
Weave in ends.
