Lion Brand Heartland Americana Afghan
We love this afghan's spin on the American flag!
Use a gauge of 12 sc + 15 rows (about 4 inch) to crochet an afghan that measures approximately 50 inch x 62 inch. Be sure to check your gauge. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size hook. Using Olympic for Redwood Stars and Redwood for Olympic Stars, whipstitch a Star to the center of each Square.
With Olympic, and following Diagram, whipstitch Squares into 4 strips of 5 Squares each.
With Olympic, and following Diagram, whipstitch strips together to make Afghan.
