Project Instructions

Use a gauge of 1 hexagon motif (about 7-1/4 inch across at widest point) to knit a blanket that measures about 38 inch x 54 inch. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle or hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle or hook.

    Special stitches:
kfb (knit into front and then back) = An increase worked as follows: Knit the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle. Knit the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle. Drop the st from your left hand needle – you have increased 1 st.
pfb (purl into front and then back) = An increase worked as follows: Purl the next st through the front loop, but do not remove the st from your left hand needle. Purl the same st once more, this time inserting your needle through the back loop of the st. You will have created 2 loops (sts) on your right hand needle. Drop the st from your left hand needle – you have increased 1 st.
    Notes:
49 Hexagon motifs are worked, then sewn tog to make Blanket.
