Project Instructions

Pattern is written for size S/M with changes for larger sizes (L/1X/2X) in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. For ease in working, circle all numbers pertaining to your size. To complete the pullover, you will need 4 (6) skeins of both Mountain Range and Desert Spring yarn as well as 3 (5) skeins of Sand Dune.
Use a gauge of 1 square motif (about 4-1/2 inch x 4-1/2 inch) to knit a pullover that measures 39 (52) inch across the bust and 26 (29-1/2) inch in length (not including neck edging) when finished. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle. Download the template, if needed, for commonly used abbreviations in yarn projects and the diagrams.
    Special Stitches:
kfb (knit in front and back) = Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st – 1 st increased.
pfb (purl into front and back) = Purl next st without removing it from left needle, then p through back of same st – 1 st increased.
    Pattern Stitch:
Welted Stitch worked in rnds = Rnds 1-4: K to end of rnd. Rnds 5-8: P to end of rnd. Rep Rnds 1-8 for Welted st.
