Project Instructions

  • 1
Use a gauge of 3 dc-groups (and the separating ch-1 sps) (about 4-1/4 inch) to crochet a shawl that measures about 36 inch at its widest and longest points. Be sure to check your gauge. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches to make a 4 inch square, try using a smaller size hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size hook. Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere. Notes: Shawl is worked in 3 sections: Center Section and 2 Side Sections. Center Section is worked in joined rnds beg at center. Side Sections are worked across edges of the Center Section. Edging is worked around the entire outside edge of the Shawl.
