Lion Brand Vanna's Complement Millbrook Cowl
Whether youre a beginner or a pro, crochet this easy cowl just in time for the cooler weather to move in. Share what you stitch using #ACMooreInspired.
Use a gauge of 12 half double crochet (about 4") to crochet a cowl that measures about 34" in finished circumference and about 15" in height. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you fewer stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle; if it takes you more stitches, try using a larger size needle.
- Time:several hours
1Note: Cowl is worked in one piece, then ends are slip stitched or sewn together.
Row 1: Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook (2 skipped chains count as a half double crochet on this row and on all rows of this pattern) and in each chain across you will have 45 half double crochet at the end of this row.
Row 2: Chain 2, turn, working in back loops only, half double crochet in each stitch across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 34" from beginning.
Do not fasten off.
Note: If you prefer, you can sew ends of piece together.
Fold piece in half, matching last row to first row. Working through both thicknesses, slip stitch in each stitch across to join.
Weave in ends.
