Continue alternating the 2 tapes horizontally 1/2 inch apart and fill in below the center tape.
Alternate the 2 tapes horizontally 1/2 inch apart and fill in above from the center tape.
Cut off excess tape around card front.
Cut a 3/4 x 5 inch strip of Snowcap cardstock.
Apply Pink Polka Dots tape across the top and bottom of the cardstock strip.
Punch French tails on each end of the strip using the diamond square punch.
Write Happy Birthday!! across the cardstock with marker.
Add foam adhesive to the back of strip and position on the front of the card.
Create a small pinwheel by starting with a 3x3 inch square piece of wax paper and following the Pinwheel instructions below.
Use a small brad to attach the pinwheel to the end of a short clear straw and then through the front of the card. (Tip: a pushpin is a great anywhere hole maker to create starter holes for adding small brads.)
Cut a 5-inch square from Snowcap cardstock.
Add Multi-Color Stars tape along one edge of the cardstock.
Add Multi-Color Stripes tape next to the Multi-Color Stars tape.
Continue alternating the 2 tapes until the front side of the square is covered.
Add Pink Polka Dots tape every 1/2 inch to cover the backside of the square.
Cut off excess tape around the square.
Measure and put a pushpin through the center point of the square.
Use scissors to cut from each of the 4 points/corners of the square to within a 1/2 inch of the pinhole.
Start with the first corner always working on the cardstock to the right of the cut lines add a pinhole close to the corner point (about 1/4 inch in).
Add pushpins to the other 3 corners again always working on the cardstock to the right of the cut lines.
Insert a small brad through the first hole entering from the Multi-Color Stars side.
Insert the brad through the second, third and fourth pinholes. Once you have all 4 corners mounted on the small brad, insert the brad through the center point of the square and temporarily spread the tips of the brad while you prepare the straw.
Wrap Pink Polka Dots tape diagonally down a clear drinking straw by spinning the straw while the tape attaches to the straw. Cut tape off when you reach the bottom of the straw.
Flatten one end of the straw and insert the pushpin through the front to the back of the straw. Rotate the pushpin a few times to make sure you have good holes.
Attach the tape pinwheel to the straw by gathering the tips of the brad and insert them through the straw holes and then spread the tips of the brad firmly.
Cut a 3-inch piece of Multi-Color Stars tape.
Center the tape over the top of a wrapped candy, carefully wrapping tape ends around to the back.
