Turn classic quilting techniques into modern paper crafting projects!
- Time:2 hours + dry time
1Use the 2" paper punch and assorted cardstock/paper to punch 19 circles. Cut out one 1-1/4" square shape to be used as scoring template Place the square paper template centered on top of one 2" cardstock/paper circle. Score around outside edge of square. Fold up each of the edges to create the cathedral window shape. Repeat with all other circles. Set aside.
2Paint wood shadow box using the Java chalk paint. Allow to dry. Paint White Adirondack Chalk paint over top of Java paint using a fan brush. We find the fan brush will give a distressed style application when you do not apply a heavy coat of paint. Some areas can be left bare. Allow to dry.
3Lightly sand off edges around shadow bow to complete distressed look. Wipe off dust and apply Wax chalk paint and let dry.
4Clean off glass. Glue a 12" x 12" background cardstock/paper in wood shadow box. Layout the cardstock/paper shapes to decide patterns that look good together. Cut two of the cardstock/paper shape in half to be used at the top corners of the heart shape. We suggest creating the heart shape arrangement and be sure you are satisfied with it before gluing. Use the glue to adhere all cathedral window shapes. Trim the cardstock/paper windows with charms, floss bows and punched shapes for decoration.
5To make the floss tassels, cut the package of in half, between the paper slides. Slide tie through top folded floss to make two tassels. Wrap each with youe choice of floss color. Tie tassels on to chain and then on to s-hook. Attach to side clasp of shadow box for accent.
