Nicole™ Crafts Clay Pot Mosaic Birdhouse

Have a broken terra cotta pot? Use it in other crafting projects like this double decker birdhouse! Birdhouses can be decorated in so many ways...whether with paint, decoupage with scrapbook or decorative stamped paper,  craft basics like buttons, beads and ribbon, you can make it your own!

Project Details

  • Time:2-3 hours (includes drying time)

Project Instructions

  • 1
    Paint bottom and edges of birdhouse Winter Blue. Let dry.
  • 2
    Measure and cut decorative paper to fit top and bottom levels as shown. Cut out holes. Attach to birdhouse using Mod Podge.

    Mix a little Raw Sienna into some snow. Add a little at a time to get desired color.
  • 4
    Break up clay pot with hammer. Spread snow on one roof with spatula. Place small pieces of pot onto snow as shown. Repeat on second roof. Let dry thoroughly.

    Glue jute to upper and lower levels as shown. Wrap each perch with jute and glue to secure.
