  • Time:2 hours

Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for neither the dimensional fabric paint nor the Glossy Accents.
  • 2
Lay glass block down on a flat surface.
  • 3
Apply vinyl transfer pieces to center of glass block according to package instructions. Apply candy circle first, then gingerbread man in the center.
  • 4
Apply dimensional fabric paint to vinyl transfer as follows or as desired: face, arms, hands and clear areas of candy use Crystal Sparkle; bowtie, buttons and Black areas of candy use Shiny Red. Let dry thoroughly.
  • 5
Remove backs of buttons with wire cutters. Glue cookie cutters around entire front of glass block as shown using Glossy Accents. Let dry thoroughly.
  • 6
Fill centers of cookie cutters with Shiny Brown dimensional fabric paint. Allow to dry thoroughly, then fill in again. (Note: dimensional fabric paint shrinks as it dries.)
  • 7
Use dimensional fabric paints to decorate cookie cutter buttons like real cookies.
  • 8
Remove glass block cap. Insert lights into glass block, leaving plug hanging on the outside.
  • 9
Cut entire length of Red deco mesh tubing with scissors. Shred deco mesh tubing by pulling apart with fingers. Insert shredded deco mesh tubing into glass block. Continue until glass block is filled with deco mesh shred and deco mesh shred is covering lights. Replace glass block cap.
  • 10
Cut a one yard piece of Green with Metallic Lime deco mesh tubing and two one yard pieces of White/Iridescent deco mesh tubing. Fold tubing pieces in half. Set glass block on top of center of deco mesh tubing pieces and evenly bring deco mesh tubing up sides and tie a knot at top.
  • 11
Cut all loops in the deco mesh tubing until you are left with single deco mesh strands hanging from top of glass block. Tie two of the single deco mesh strands into a bow. Continue this process, using all the deco mesh strands which will give the appearance of one large bow.
  • 12
Glue various deco mesh sections in the center of the bow to secure from unraveling.
