Project Details

  • Level:beginner
  • Time:less than 1 hour

Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time.
  • 2
Apply glue to the corners of the stretchers, connect together, and let dry.
  • 3
Make 1/2" marks along the 19" strips. Hammer nails into the marks.
  • 4
As you work on step 3, make sure you are leaving about 3/4" of the nail remaining.
  • 5
To set your loom for weaving, tie one end of yarn to the top left nail. Tip: Using a thin yarn for the warp gives your loom a tighter tension.
  • 6
Create the warp by taking the yarn down to the opposite nail, across to the next, and back up again until you get to the last nail. Tie the end of yarn to the nail to secure.
  • 7
Use yarns in the color and texture of your choice. What’'s great is that you aren’'t limited!
  • 8
If you don'’t have a yarn needle, you can use a ruler that has a hole on one side. Tie end of yarn into the hole.
  • 9
    Now you'’re ready to weave!
