Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for the paint. You may find it helpful to watch the video provided near the top of this page for some tips on using Glitter-It before starting this project.
  • 2
Thoroughly mix equal amounts of Christmas Red, Christmas Green and Multi-Color Diamond Dust glitters on a paper plate or bowl (The paper surface will have less static, so it will more easily pour into ornament!).
  • 3
Pour a small amount of Glitter-It into ball. Swirl glue around until entire inside of ornament is covered. Pour out excess. Pour the combination of Christmas Red, Christmas Green and Multi-Color Diamond Dust glitters into ornament. Shake until glitter completely covers the inside surface.
  • 4
Paint cap with Pure Gold acrylic paint. When cap and inside of ornament are completely dry, replace cap.
  • 5
Glue end of Neon Green Parachute Cord to base of ornament cap gluing as you wrap cord around. Once base of cap is covered, continue gluing cord into five loops of desired length around entire ball. Cut cord once all loops are glued in place and glue end to secure at base of cap.
  • 6
Paint wooden stars with Pure Gold acrylic paint. When dry, brush tops of stars with tacky glue and sprinkle with Iridescent King Gold glitter. Shake off excess and let dry. Hot glue one star inside each loop.
  • 7
Glue two 7 mm Red rhinestones to the cord directly above each loop about 1/4 inch apart. Glue a 5 mm Red rhinestone to the center of each star. Glue a 5 mm Red rhinestone to the bottom of each cord loop and one to the cording on each side of the stars.
  • 8
Cut a 12 inch length of Gold ribbon. Slide end of ribbon through cap loop and tie a knot. Glue knot to top of cap to form hanger.
  • 9
Cut 36 inch lengths of Gold and Red ribbons. Make a bow with both and glue to top of cap.
