Project Instructions

  • 1
Wrap entire straw wreath with Green Clover duck tape. (Tip: leave the straw wreath wrapped in cellophane to make it easier to wrap in Duck Tape.)
  • 2
Stretch a piece of Cha Cha Cherry Duck Tape across cutting mat. Cut 2 inch squares using craft knife.
  • 3
Remove one 2 inch square from cutting mat. Fold in two ends to form a point.
  • 4
Starting at bottom outside edge of wreath, attach tape with point end down. Fold the next piece and attach one edge of it to the center of the first piece of Duck Tape.
  • 5
Continue this process around entire wreath.
  • 6
Switch colors to apply next row. Point of tape should line up in between first row of tape. This will give you a staggered effect.
  • 7
Continue rows, alternating colors. (Tip: it will be around 14 rows to complete wreath.)
  • 8
To make hanging Christmas ball, cut four 5 inch pieces of Cha Cha Cherry Duck Tape.
  • 9
With sticky side up, attach two pieces together by overlapping them slightly. Turn the remaining two pieces over and lay them on top. You should have a smooth surface on both sides.
  • 10
Lay the Duck Tape roll in the center of this piece and trace a circle. Cut out circle.
  • 11
Cut a 3/4 inch piece of the same color tape. Attach one end to top of circle and fold in half to form top of Christmas ball. Punch a hole through top.
  • 12
Cut a 6 inch piece of ribbon. Tie through hole to create hanger.
  • 13
Lay a 5 inch piece of Green Clover Duck Tape on cutting mat. With craft knife, make wavy lines on tape.
  • 14
Peel the wavy lines off cutting mat and place on Christmas ball as shown. Trim excess around edge of Christmas ball.
  • 15
Glue rhinestones to wavy lines as shown.
  • 16
Glue ornament ribbon to back center of wreath allowing the ornament to show through the center of the wreath as shown.
  • 17
To make bow, cut four 24 inch pieces of Green Clover Duck Tape. Overlap two pieces sticky side up about 1/8 inch. Lay two remaining pieces on top giving a smooth surface on both sides. Run a piece of Cha Cha Cherry Duck Tape down the center.
  • 18
Fold entire piece in half lengthwise and cut ends on a slant to create pointed ends of bow.
  • 19
Lay piece on a flat surface and cross pointed ends over top of each other to create bow. Gather the center and wrap a 3 inch piece of tape around it to secure.
  • 20
Glue bow to top of wreath.
  • 21
Cut a 20 inch piece of Green Clover Duck Tape. Fold the tape in half lengthwise. Fold tape in half and glue ends to top back of wreath to create hanger. Secure in place with pins as extra support.
