- Time:1-1/2 hours
Glue trim around outside edge of canvas. Glue a second type of trim along top edge of canvas (as shown, project uses a dotted ribbon and Red rick rack piece).
Cut a 12 inch piece of decorative Christmas ribbon. Bend one edge over. Find one wire on the other side and hold with pliers. Gather ribbon along one edge. Bend wire and hold wire on other side. Gather ribbon. The ribbon piece should be gathered on one edge. Glue the gathered edge straight across bottom of canvas as shown. Cut wire on each side with wire cutters.
Cut a 10 inch piece of another decorative piece of ribbon and repeat step 2 above, gluing above last piece. Continue process with other decorative pieces of ribbon making sizes 8 inch, 6 inch, 5 inch and 4 inch as you go, ending with six rows of ribbon.
Make a small four-loop ribbon bow. Secure with wire. Trim ends and glue to top of tree. Glue star to center of bow.
Cut a 20 inch piece of ribbon. Make a knot on each end. Glue knots to back top of canvas to create hanger.
