Nicole's Bead Shop Pink Panache Necklace
Just like an exotic bird, a necklace with a shot of hot pink fringe will set you apart from the flock. Be an original, with this simple and striking design.
- Time:20 minutes
1Connect four Pink bead link strands together in a row to make a long bead link strand.
2Connect the end loop of the large bead link on one end of the long bead link strand to the end loop of the large bead link, just before the small bead link, on the other end of the long bead link strand. The single small bead link will hang down between the two large bead links. (See photograph)
3Connect a 6 mm jump ring to the bottom loop of the small pink bead link from the previous step.
4Cut sixteen 9 inch lengths of floss, lay them together on top of each other, and line up the ends. Slide one end of the combined lengths of floss through the 6 mm jump ring from the previous step and fold them in half. Tip: To get evenly cut pieces of floss, cut a piece of cardboard or heavy cardstock that is the same length as the floss. Wrap the floss lengthwise around it and cut the floss flush at the top and bottom.
5Cut an 8 inch length of floss. Snugly wrap the 8 inch length of floss multiple times around the folded floss, below the jump ring, at a distance approximately 1/2 inch down from the fold. Tie the ends of the 8 inch length of floss together in a knot, secure the knot with a touch of glue, and trim the excess floss. Allow the glue to dry.
6Trim the tassel to the desired length. Connect the tassel to the necklace with a jump ring.
