Tip: Before starting project, pick five colors of Bernat Shetland Chunky and/or other 100 g/3.5 oz. chunky yarn. Assign each color a letter from A to E. Use these letters to correspond with the A, B, C, D and E in this project.
Use a gauge of 16 sts and 21 rows (4") to knit a pillow that measures approximately 16" square. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you fewer stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle.

Cast on 24 sts.
1st row: (RS). K1. P1. K9. P2. K9. P1. K1.
2nd and alt rows: P1. K1. P9. K2. P9. K1. P1.
3rd row: K1. P1. C6b. K3. P2. C6b. K3. P1. K1.
5th row: As 1st row.
7th row: K1. P1. K3. C6f. P2. K3. C6f. P1. K1.
8th row: As 2nd row.
Rep last 8 rows of pat until work from beg measures 16 ins, ending with a WS row.
Cast off in pat.
2Make 2 Strips in each color A, B, C, D and E as given for Strip 1.
Sew strips tog in the following sequence: A, B, C, D and E for Front and E, D, C, B and A for Back.
Pin pieces to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth, leaving cloth to dry.
4Sew 3 sides of Front and Back tog. Insert pillow form. Sew last side closed.
