- Time:hour + dry time
Carefully cut three sides of cereal box for lid with craft knife. Cut an opening for valentines and poke two holes into top side of box for handles. Front of box will open from top and fold down.
Paint one box Licorice and let dry. Cut kraft paper to fit all sides of second box and glue to secure. Cut an X in opening for cards, fold kraft paper to the inside and secure. Use stencil brush to apply Wicker White dots to both boxes.
Twist Pink and Red chenille stems together to create handles for both boxes. Insert ends through holes and glue. (Tip: Glue the ends of the chenille stems together to ensure they don't come undone.) Cut lengths of ribbon for both boxes straps and glue around boxes as shown. (Tip: Start at the top end of the front box opening and end at the front just even with card opening.)
Paint wood hearts Engine Red and let dry. If desired, add a small frog to the heart with liner brush and Fresh Foliage (use Wicker White and Licorice for its' eyes) and let dry. Glue heart stickers and wood hearts to box. Add adhesive hearts to ends of ribbon.
