Project Instructions

    Project time does not include drying time for the paint. Tip: change the paint palette to match your favorite team's colors!

    Basecoat wood plaque Apple Red.
  • 3
    Tape off an area that is approximately 1-1/2 inch from edges of wood plaque and paint Licorice. Leave tape on and apply several coats of chalkboard paint in the center of the wood plaque, allowing drying between coats. Remove tape.

    Trace a 1/4 inch star and 1/2 inch star onto scrap paper and cut out. Stencil stars as shown with the 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch stencil brushes and paint edge of plaque with Licorice.

    Tape of pennant pattern as shown and apply Steel Gray. Remove tape.

    Stencil letters onto pennants. Paint line to connect pennants with liner brush.

    To condition chalkboard surface, rub side of chalk over surface and wipe with soft cloth or paper towel.
