Plaid FolkArt Home Décor Chalk Simple Shabby Chic Painted Canvas

Who said frames had to be exclusively for holding photos? They also make great starting points for chic collages and dimensional wall art. Replace pictures with layered knick knacks (or leftovers from past craft projects) then turn up the shabby chic-ness on your multi-media presentation with Plaid FolkArt Home Décor Chalk Paint and sandpaper.

Project Instructions

    Paint and Sand Surface: Note: Let paint dry between all applications. Paint frame with Parisian Grey. Apply Vintage Victorian over Parisian Grey, painting entire frame. Sand paint to create distressed finish. Paint wood canvas with Cascade. Paint second coat with Parisian Grey, let dry. Sand surface until you achieve desired distressed look.

    Add Details: Here too, let paint dry between all applications. Paint wood flowers with Parisian Grey. Then paint with Cascade. When dry, sand flowers creating distressed finish. Attach doily and wood flowers with hot glue. Add leaves, stems and flower centers with jute. Keep the jute in place by using hot glue.
