Plaid Mod Podge FolkArt Birthday Banner
Combine cardstock, paint and Mod Podge for a festive banner!
- Time:2 hours
1Project time does not include drying time for neither the paint nor the Mod Podge.
Note: instructions and supplies are written as though "Birthday" is the sentiment being expressed on the banner. If you are choosing a different sentiment, adjust the supplies and instructions accordingly.
2Basecoat wood letters with Wicker White, let dry.
3Basecoat with Pink, let dry. Sand lightly to distress.
4Using wood letters as template, cut cardstock to fit each letter.
5Following general directions on Mod Podge, add cardstock to birch letters. Use leftover scraps of cardstock and Mod Podge to cover wood hummingbirds. Let dry.
6Cut a 2 yard piece of jute (or a piece that is long enough to display all the letters with about three inches in between each letter). Glue letters to jute cord using hot glue.
7Cut strips of Orange Dot, Pink Dot and Black Dot ribbon. Tie ribbon between letters as shown. Trim excess ribbon, if needed.
