1Use a gauge of 20 sts x 26 rows (4 inch) in St st with larger needle to knit a sweater that measures for 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 8 years and 10 years. This translates approximately to 27 (28, 29, 30 and 31) inch across the chest and 14 (15-1/2, 17, 18-1/2, 20) inch in length. Save time, check your gauge. If the hook or needle listed under supplies does not work, use the size that allows you to obtain the required gauge.
You will need 3 skeins of Spice Drop yarn to make this sweater in sizes 2 and 4 years; 4 skeins of Spice Drop yarn to make this sweater in sizes 6 and 8 years; 5 skeins of Spice Drop yarn to make this sweater in size 10 years. You will need 2 skeins of Neon Lights yarn to make this sweater in sizes 2 and 4 years; 3 skeins of Neon Lights yarn to make this sweater in sizes 6 and 8 years. You will need 4 skeins of Neon Lights yarn to make this sweater in size 10 years. Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow a pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.

2With Spice Drop and smaller needles, cast on 66 (70, 74, 78, 82) sts. Knit 10 rows.
Switch to Neon Lights and larger needles. Beginning with a purl (WS) row, work in St st until Back measures 8-1/2 (9-1/2, 10-1/2, 11-1/2, 12-1/2) inch from cast-on edge, ending with a WS row.
3Sleeves and Yoke:
Switch to Spice Drop.
Row 1 (RS): Cast on 28 (30, 32, 34, 36) sts, knit across the row.
Row 2 (WS): Cast on 28 (30, 32, 34, 36) sts, knit across the row 122 (130, 138, 146, 154) sts.
Row 3: Slip 1 knit wise, knit across row.
Repeat Row 3 until Sleeve measures 5-1/2 (6, 6-1/2, 7, 7-1/2) inch, ending with a WS row.
Bind off all sts loosely.
Work as for Back.
Sew shoulder seams leaving a 7 (7, 7-1/2, 7-1/2, 8-1/2) inch neck opening. Sew sleeve and sides together.
Weave in ends.
