Wilton Buccaneer Headgear Cake
Arrr, matey! You won't have to walk the plank after baking this cake!

1Project time does not include neither the baking nor the cooling times for the cake.
2Bake and cool cake. Trim 1-1/2 inch off bottom edge; trim off crown points at left and right of center point.
3Prepare and cover with 20 oz. Black fondant.
4Roll out remaining White fondant (approximately 4 oz.) 1/8 inch thick. Cut a 26 x 1/2 inch wide strip. Attach around edge of hat using damp brush; trim ends as needed.
5Download and print project template. Use it as a guide for cutting a skull and its features from about 4 oz. of White fondant. Attach skull to hat.
6For bones, cut 2 strips, 3 x 1/4 inch each from approximately 4 oz. of fondant. Attach 1; cut 2nd in half diagonally and attach on sides of 1st bone. Roll 8 balls, 1/4 inch diameter each; attach to bone ends. Use alphabet cutters to cut out name; attach.
