Project Instructions

  • 1
In a medium bowl, combine cake crumbles with the vanilla frosting to hold together when pressed into a log.
  • 2
Portion cake mixture using the tablespoon. Roll each tablespoon portion into a log and set aside.
  • 3
Melt about 10 oz. of the Tuxedo Black candy wafers in a small bowl according to package instructions. Use a fork to completely coat the cake logs with melted wafers. Place dipped logs on parchment paper lined cookie sheet, and chill until completely set up.
  • 4
Pour the remaining melted candy wafers into a mini decorators bottle, and pipe small bat wings on another parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Make sure these are appropriate in size to the bat bodies that you formed. Chill the wings.
  • 5
Once the wings and bodies have completely set up, peel them from the parchment. Using the remainder of the melted Tuxedo Black wafers, attach the body to 2 wings.
  • 6
Add a smile and 2 fangs to every bat, and allow batty to chill completely.
  • 7
Melt about 2 oz. vanilla flavored candy wafers in a small bowl according to package instructions. Using a decorator’s bottle, create eyeballs on each bat. Chill.
  • 8
Lastly, dab each eyeball with a small dot of Tuxedo Black wafers to create expression. Chill.
