Wilton® Squirmy Wormy Jack-O-Lantern Cake
Serve this bugged out jack-o-lantern cake at the kids Halloween party. Its easy to create using the Wilton Jack-O-Lantern Pan, which bakes in the spaces for the eyes, nose and mouth.
- Time:2 hours
1Bake and cool cake. Cut cake board to follow shape of pan, making it slightly larger, and cover with foil.
2Prepare icing. Combine Leaf Green with Lemon Yellow for green shown. Combine Lemon Yellow with Golden Yellow for yellow shown. Combine Red-Red with Christmas Red for red shown.
3Tint portions orange, black, green and red. Ice smooth inside of eyes, nose and mouth with black icing and tapered spatula. Ice smooth stem with green icing and angled spatula. Ice cake smooth with orange icing and angled spatula.
4Pipe eyebrows with tip 18 and black icing.
5Tint fondant yellow. Divide into two 2 oz. balls and roll into egg shapes. Indent a circle onto narrow end of eye using wide opening of tip 3. Pipe a circle in center with tip 3 and black icing. Insert eyes into sockets. Pipe veins with tip 2 and red icing.
6Place candy jelly worms in mouth.
