Wilton Stained Glass Solemnity Cake

1Project time does not include neither baking nor cooling the cake, nor the time to bake cookies.
2Bake and cool cake.
3Make 1/4 cup White royal icing. Bake cookies with largest circle cutter in cookie cutter set. Ice cookie smooth in White royal icing. Let set.
4Make 4 cups buttercream icing. Tint 1/2 cup Black and reserve 3-1/2 cups White.
5Tint 1/4 cup piping gel Yellow, tint 1/4 cup Blue, tint 1/4 cup Pink, tint 1/4 cup Green, tint 1/4 cup Violet.
6Decorate as follows: Ice cake smooth in White buttercream icing. Using Black buttercream icing, pipe tip 3 outlines for stained glass pattern on cake and cookie. Using Yellow, Pink, Violet, Blue and Green piping gels in cut parchment bags, fill in stained glass areas. Using White buttercream icing, pipe tip 3 bead border on top edge of cake. Using White buttercream icing, pipe tip 21 shell bottom border. Position cookie on cake top.
