Auntie Anne's Fried Dough
Kind of like a donut, except better because you made it yourself!
- Time:1 hour
1Project time may vary based on time needed to prepare dough. For better results, you may want to first read the instructions provided in the Auntie Anne's At Home Baking Kit or watch the video provided above.
2While dough is rising preheat oil or shortening to 375°F in a deep fryer or large heavy skillet.
3Pinch off 1-inch portions of dough (the size of a donut hole) and slightly press down into disks.
4Fry 4-6 pieces of dough at a time in the hot oil 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 minutes, turning once with metal tongs to evenly brown all sides.
5Remove the Fried Dough from the oil and place onto a paper towel to drain.
6Optional - add anything you would like to the Fried Dough, such as cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or drizzle the Fried Dough with chocolate or caramel syrup.
