Care Instructions: We found that the fabric does not need to be heat set to be colorfast. However, if you choose to heat set with an iron, its important that the shirt is completely dry since alcohol is flammable. When finished, wash shirt separately on the delicate cycle and in cold water.
- Time:1 hour + drying time
1Place the foam board or cardboard inside of the shirt to prevent the ink from bleeding through.
2Download and print the project template. Use it to cut letters out of the Light Pink foam, and then place the letters and the foam shapes where you'd like on the shirt.
3Using the Sharpie markers, make dots around the foam letters and shapes. Tip: dots work best because it makes it easier for the alcohol to dissolve the ink.
4Using the eyedropper, slowly drip rubbing alcohol onto the inside edge of your design. The more drops of alcohol used, the further the ink will spread. Tip: avoid flooding the design with alcohol. Try starting with a few drops on the edge of the design, wait for it to dissolve and spread, and then add more to the edges as needed.
5Remove the ribbons and letters and let your shirt dry. The foam board or cardboard can be taken out of the shirt after about 5 minutes. Project should be fully dry within 30 minutes.
