DecoArt Fourth of July Flower Pots
These terra cotta pots add patriotic color to your summer entertaining.
- Time:2 hours + dry time
•Let paint dry before applying another color to same area you just finished painting.
•Rinse brushes between colors.
Using 1 inch sponge brush, basecoat sides and bottoms of three pots True Blue. Paint side and bottom of remaining pot Lipstick. Using different 1 inch sponge brush, paint three saucers True Blue and one saucer Lipstick. Paint rim and interior of one True Blue pot with True Blue. Rinse brush. Paint rim and interior of the remaining True Blue pots with Lipstick. Use remaining 1 inch sponge brush to paint rim and interior of Lipstick pot Vanilla Shake.
2Use small and large stencil brushes to apply random True Blue dots to Lipstick pot. Rinse and air-dry applicators.
3Measure and mark 1 inch stripes on True Blue pot with True Blue trim. Using 1 inch flat brush, paint alternating stripes with Lipstick.
4With pencil, lightly draw large and small stars on True Blue pot with Lipstick trim.
5Using #2 flat brush, paint large stars Vanilla Shake. Using same brush, paint small stars Lipstick. Using #3 round brush, paint tiny stars on Lipstick pot. Using large round sponge applicator, paint Vanilla Shake dots onto remaining True Blue pot. Using handle end of #3 round brush, paint small Vanilla Shake dots around top and bottom of True Blue and Lipstick stripes on True Blue pot. Wipe off brush handle.
6After everything is completely dry, use rinsed 2 inch flat brush to apply coat of Clear Coat to all four pots and saucers.
