Project Instructions

  • 1
Lie the diorama pumpkin face down, the stem will be the peacock’s neck. Choose various feather stems and glitter embellishments and adhere to the back side of the pumpkin. Place smaller feathers and embellishments in the front, and work to the back while increasing in size. If stems do not poke through easily, create a small hole with X-Acto knife.
  • 2
Place the medium foam ball onto the pumpkin stem and press in to make an indent in the ball. Cut out a hole in the foam ball and place onto the stem to create head. To create the beak, carve out a wedge from the smaller foam ball and hot glue onto the larger ball. Paint both with blue acrylic paint. Blend the paint onto the stem of the pumpkin.
  • 3
Paint feathers onto the pumpkin in various shades of blue. Embellish the feathers with adhesive rhinestones. Stick rhinestones onto beak and face. Add glitter embellishments to top of head.
