Project Instructions

  • 1
Place tape on a diagonal on scrap cardstock that is sized larger than the cover of the journal. Cut washi tape covered cardstock lengthwise. Cut a piece of contact paper; peel off protective backing and turn sticky side up.
  • 2
Create a new sheet of washi tape by repositioning the cut strips back together on the contact paper; turn the strips upside down, put different widths together and make off set from the other (refer to photo). Trim washi tape designer paper to the size of the journal cover. Use tape runner to apply contact paper to the book cover; make sure adhesive is as close to the edge of the journal as possible.
  • 3
Cut 2" square of Midnight cardstock; use corner punch to make decorative corners. Use a small amount of Mod Podge to stick this box to top center of journal as shown. Brush thin layer of Mod Podge over cover. When dry, center crystal monogram sticker in center of decorative square.
