Project Instructions

  • 1
Let paint dry between applications and after each step. Project time does not include this drying time.
  • 2
Wipe entire surface of pot and saucer clean. (Any dust or debris can cause poor paint adhesion.)
  • 3
    Paint entire pot Lipstick Red.
  • 4
Add dimension to design by blending Red Barn and small amount of Black Tie in area right behind where ladybug's head will be painted.
  • 5
Paint Black Tie half-circle (about 3 inch wide by 1-1/2 inch high).
  • 6
Paint eyes Cotton Ball. When dry, add smaller Black Tie circle in Cotton Ball area, followed by another very small Cotton Ball dot for reflection. (See photo for placement.)
  • 7
Use Black Tie to paint antennae, legs, and dots on ladybug's back.
  • 8
Add dots to pot rim with Black Tie and handle end of paintbrush.
  • 9
Mix 1 part Black Tie with two parts Barn Red. Paint base of pot with mixture.
