Project Instructions

  • 1
To start the ripple pattern, begin by painting the top two sides of a triangle with Mod Podge starting at the bottom of the mason jar. Continue painting triangles along the bottom of the mason jar of the approximate same size. Take your time creating this first zigzag, you will simply follow the pattern up the mason jar. The thickness of the Mod Podge line (which will become the glitter line) depends on personal preference. Don’t worry if you occasionally draw thick lines – when drawing the next line you can go over the excess, incorporating it into that layer.
  • 2
Before Mod Podge dries sprinkle glitter onto the glue. Let dry.
  • 3
Lightly brush off excess glitter stuck to jar, and apply a line of Mod Podge just above the line you just created. Repeat with colors until you reach the half way point of the mason jar.
