Project Instructions

  • 1
Note: the print of Duck Tape listed under the instructions and supplies is only a guide. Feel free to use Duck Tape colors or prints that better match your style!
  • 2
Cut a piece of poster board that measures 5 inch long and 11 inch wide.
  • 3
Cover your poster board from step 2 in Bandana Duck Tape.
  • 4
Bring the edges of the covered poster board from step 3 together to create a cylinder. Secure with a piece of Duck Tape.
  • 5
To make the tails of the windsock make a strip of Duck Tape fabric that is 1 strip wide and is 17 inch long. Trim the ends. Repeat to create 3 more tails. (To make Duck Tape fabric, lay a strip of Duck Tape, sticky side up, on your cutting board. Lay the next strip so it slightly overlaps the other. Continue until you have a piece that measures 17 inch long and 1 strip wide. Take it and turn it sideways so the strips are going left to right. Lay the next strips, sticky side down, going up and down so it is laying the opposite direction. Trim off any excess.
  • 6
Tape the 4 tails to the inside of the windsock.
  • 7
To create a strip to hang the windsock from, take a piece of Duck Tape that measures 10 inch long and fold it onto itself in thirds.
  • 8
Tape the strap from step 7 to the top of the windsock.
