Red Heart Super Saver Kittens & Puppies For Sale Pillows

Completely irresistible, these utterly clever crochet pillow designs will delight both cat and dog lovers.

Use a gauge of 7 sts and 8 rows (2") to crochet two pillows that are 16" square each. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Make a pair of pillows, then post a pic: #ACMooreInspired.

    Notes:
•The amount of yarn shown will make both pillows.
•Nine kitten and nine puppy motifs are made separately in squares and sewn together for fronts of pillows. J is the background color of all squares and remaining colors are each worked once (“first color”).
•Cat applique is made separately and sewn to back of puppy pillow. Mouse appliqué is made separately and sewn to back of kitten pillow.
•To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Drop old color but do not cut until instructed. Proceed with new color.
•Use photograph as a guide for embroidery and placement of sewn-on pieces.
