Rit Color Perfect Wooden Monogrammed Letters
Personalize your office or your childs bedroom with wooden letters that spell your name or initials, dyed your favorite color. Add blooming paper flowers for an extra special touch.
- Time:15 minutes
1Project time does not include the time for the dye to dry.
2Place the wooden letters on your worktable with cardboard and paper towels under them to catch any dye that runs off the letters while you are painting them. You can, if you like, touch them lightly with sandpaper to get any gloss off if they are not a raw finish.
3Shake Astro Turf (or color of your choice) and then open and use the paint applicator like a paint brush, dipping it directly into the dye bottle and painting directly on the wooden letters. Paint the entire letter, making sure to get the sides, not just the top. If you want a deeper color, add a second coat. It is not necessary to dye the back of the letters. Let air dry.
4On a separate space, lay out a table cover and paper towels. Lay out the paper flowers. Shake Passion Pink and Citrus Orange (or colors of your choice), and then add the spray applicator tops. Make sure you screw them on tightly so the dye won't leak around the neck.
5Spray each flower as you like. The more spray, the deeper the color saturation on the flower. Let air dry.
6After the wooden letters and paper flowers have dried glue the flowers where you want them on the letters. Let dry.
