Mac 'n' Cheese Best Friend Necklace

Let your bestie know she's the mac to your cheese with a handmade best friend necklace. Sculpt your fave snack using polymer clay and top off with some glitter glue for a sparkly show of friendship.

Project Instructions

    Tape a sheet of wax paper to a table to ensure a smooth and clean work surface.

    CHEESE: Work the clay in your hands to soften it. Cut the clay into a triangle and smooth out the edges using your finger. Create the appearance of holes using the toothpick. Poke a hole all the way through the top of the cheese for your cord to go into. Roll out two tiny circles for the eyes and a thin line to create the mouth.

    MACARONI: Roll out a piece of clay to desired length. Form the rolled clay into a half circle. Using your toothpick make a hole in each end. Smooth out edges with your finger. Roll out two tiny circles for the eyes and a thin line to create the mouth. Using the toothpick, poke a hole all the way through where the cord will attach.

    Bake according to instructions on the package. Once cooled, paint with glitter glue. Let dry.

    Thread leather through holes at top of each object and tie in a knot to secure.
