Project Instructions

  • 1
You will need 40 pom-poms total, 27 for necklace, 7 for bracelet, 6 for earrings.
  • 2
Cut off 3 20 inch lengths of beading wire. Loop wire end into a crimp tube and secure closed using crimp tool. Use mighty crimp tool to cover crimp with a crimp cover. Repeat for all three wires.
  • 3
Use needle or hard wire to pierce center of pom-poms by grasping wire in chain nose pliers and insert beading wire in opening. This takes a little practice and using the chain nose pliers helps guide the wire. Thread nine pom-poms on each wire, leaving a 2 inch space between each, they should be staggered when worn. (You can make adjustments once you put the three strands together.)
  • 4
When you reach the final pom-pom on each wire, add a crimp tube and a crimp cover. Leave about a 1-2 inch space between the wire end and the first and last pom-poms, remember to stagger this so the pom-poms aren't all lined up in rows when the piece is worn.
  • 5
Slide three wire ends into a jump ring and secure closed using two pairs of chain nose pliers. Repeat on opposite side. Add EZ-Lobster clasp to one jump ring.

To make the bracelet, cut off a length of wire that fits your wrist, about 8-9 inches, leaving room for crimping on both ends. Repeat process of piercing and sliding pom-poms on the wire until you have 7 pom-poms spaced about ½ inch apart. Attach crimp, crimp covers, jump rings and clasp as before.
  • 12
To make the earrings, thread an orange pom-pom with a head pin. Bend top of pin at a 90 degree angle and cut off to about ¼ inches. Use round nose pliers to form a loop. Make two of these. Repeat, cutting off head pin bottom and make loop at the top and bottom of two yellow pom-poms and two pink pom-poms. Attach orange pom-pom to yellow and then pink by opening and securing loops closed. Add an ear wire to the top. Repeat for second earring.
