Project Instructions

  • 1
Boil a pot of water and place sticks inside, making sure to soak all sides. Boil for at least 20 minutes. TIP: Boil more craft sticks than you need because some will break as you work with them. Carefully remove from water. Gently shape the sticks around the outside of a glass, about the size of your wrist. Use a rubber band to secure tightly. Let dry overnight.
  • 2
Remove sticks from glass and sand any rough edges. Place the rubber band around the stick again and coat the inside with two layers of Mod Podge. Let dry.

    Ideas for decorating your bracelets:

Use a flat craft stick to trace shape onto scrapbook paper. Cut paper and glue with Mod Podge (at least two coats.)

    Paint bracelets, then glue rhinestones.

Add fabric paint details to add dimension.

    Wind yarn around the bracelet.

    Wrap in washi tape.

Use an awl to gently poke a hole in the ends of the craft stick. Add ribbon or floss to tie onto wrist.
