Dritz® Elastic Shoe Laces
Its one less thing to worry about, when you dont have to tie (and keep tying) little laces all day. Dritz® Elastic Shoelaces make it easy for you or whomever you make these for, to dress and still look cute.
- Time:15 minutes
1Project time does not include the drying time for the Fray Check.
2To determine the length you need, fold the elastic in half, along the center seam of shoe, and trim the end at an angle. Apply Fray Check and let dry.
3Once dry, fold the elastic again (back to the point you created in step 1) and weave through the holes to the lace the shoe. When you have it the length you want, cut the other end and repeat the finishing steps.
4To do the other shoe, unlace the first one, and cut the second lace to the same size, or repeat the steps above.
5Tips: For boys shoes, we tied the ends in a knot. For girls, we left the laces longer to accommodate a bow. Since the elastic is flexible, stitch the bow into place, so you dont have to keep tying every time. She can just slip on and off, and still keep the perfect bow.
