Project Instructions

  • 1
Make a piece of Deep Blue Ocean Duck Tape fabric that is 16 inch long and 7 inch wide. To make Duck Tape fabric, lay a strip of Duck Tape, sticky side up, on your cutting mat. Lay the next strip so that it overlaps the other. Continue this until the fabric is the length required for this project. (You can always change the color to match those of your favorite team.)
  • 2
Using your old hat, trace 6 sections of the hat onto the Duck Tape fabric with your pen or marker. Cut them using your scissors.
  • 3
Using small pieces of Duck Tape, tape the sections together on the inside to create the shape of the hat.
  • 4
Cut 8 strips of a different Duck Tape color or print that are 7 inch long and 1 inch wide (we used Electric Blue, but again, you are more than welcome to tweak this project to the colors of your favorite team). Lay these strips over the seams of the hat.
  • 5
Using your hat, trace the brim on a piece of poster board.
  • 6
Cover your brim in Deep Blue Ocean Duck Tape.
  • 7
Attach the brim to both the under and top sides of the piece from step 4 with small pieces of Duck Tape in a desired color.
