iLoveToCreate® Beachy Keen Braided Flip-Flops

Even if you're not heading to the coast for some summer fun, you can still look the part. Bold braided fabric is the perfect beachy accent for a simple pair of flip-flops; just grab that tie-dye T-shirt you don't wear anymore and a pair of scissors, and get crafting!

Project Instructions

  • 1
Cut twelve ½" wide strips of fabric from T-shirt. Pull on ends of strips to increase stretch and length, and to reduce width. Create four braids (two per flip-flop).
  • 2
Apply FABRIC-TAC to the top of the flip-flop straps and press a braid along outside edge of strap, starting on one end and continuing to press braid along outside edge until you reach the other end of strap. Cut off excess.
  • 3
Repeat for inside edge of flip-flop, making sure to press braid ends firmly against adhesive to secure in place. Repeat with other flip-flop.
