Make running errands more exciting with a carryall that’s cute as a button! Personalize an ordinary tote with a bright button monogram and colorful circles of yarn to get the iLovetoCreate Button Up Monogram Tote

Project Instructions

    Use a grey (or other dark-colored) chalk pencil to create various sized circles on front of tote. If you can't draw circles freehand, find round items around the house, such as dinner plates, flower pots and drinking glasses.

    Thread length of yarn into needle and stitch along circle outlines with a running stitch as shown.

    Cut out a circle from felt scrap and a slightly smaller one from canvas fabric. Glue canvas circle onto felt circle. Glue in center of one of the larger stitched circles on tote. Let dry.

    Use the chalk pencil to create desired monogram in center of canvas circle. Glue smaller buttons on top of monogram. Let dry.

    Glue larger buttons in centers of stitched circles and let dry completely.
