Project Instructions

  • 1

String 20 gold spikes onto the stretch cord and tie into secure knot. Trim excess cord.

Stretch the cord around the button on the top of the cap so spikes fan out in flat circle around the button. (The number of spikes required may vary depending on size of button on the graduation cap.)

  • 2
Use chalk to lightly sketch desired design and words on the top of cap.
  • 3
Working one letter/number/section at a time, place glue dots along your sketch lines. Use tweezers to place flat backs onto the glue dots. Let dry.
  • 4
Coil the 20-gauge wire around the top of the metal cylinder at the top of the cap tassel. Trim excess wire.
  • 5
Use a 4mm open jump ring to hang the accent from the 20-gauge wire so it drapes down over tassel.
