Project Instructions

  • 1
Pre-wash shirt (don’t use fabric softener) to remove sizing. Iron so the shirt is smooth with no wrinkles, especially where the transfer will be placed.
  • 2
Follow the directions provided on the iron-on (they will ensure success with your iron-on). Make sure you peel off the transfer as directed, while the transfer is still warm.
  • 3
    Place shirt in t-shirt form.
  • 4
Practice working with the paints on scrap paper. Give the bottle one downward shake to remove bubbles. Clean off tip so that it will create a clean line. Starting on the top, outline and fill in candle flame with Yellow, then Orange and Red as shown on design.
  • 5
Use Yellow to make the swirl on cupcake dimensional, as well as dots on cupcake.
  • 6
Outline and fill in stars with matching colors of fabric paint.
  • 7
Place the shirt out of reach of your family and animals so that it will completely dry.
  • 8
Follow directions for washing t-shirt after it is worn.
