Project Instructions

  • 1
    Placemat:
Use colored pencils or markers to divide a piece of Green construction paper into six matching blocks. Cut out three White construction paper rectangles that are the same size as the six Green blocks. Glue the White pieces onto the Green construction paper, creating an alternating Green and White pattern. On a separate piece of White construction paper, draw a shamrock to fit into one of your blocks and use it as a template to cut out six more shamrocks. Add colored lines, dots or other designs to the shamrocks and glue them into the placemat blocks. Tip: Cover the placemat with contact paper so it can be wiped clean after use.

    Napkin Holder:
Cut a piece of recycled cardboard gift-wrap tube as tall as your finger. Decorate your napkin ring with markers. Glue the leftover shamrock from step 1 to the front.
