- Time:about a half hour
Step A: Using circle cutter, cut a 6" circle from Light Kraft cardstock. Beginning at the outer edge, cut a rugged spiral to the center (see image below). Make choppy cuts to give randomness to the edges.
Step B: Crumple up cardstock spiral to distress. Adhere the tip of the spiral to a thin cut from an empty paper towel roll as shown. Loosely wrap the rest of the spiral around the holder and adhere (low temp hot glue works great) to a piece of brown cardstock. Once dry, trim off excess cardstock from scrap.
Step C: Cut a few thin slivers of leftover cardstock and spiral around an opened paper clip. Adhere randomly around nest for extra texture to complete.
Step A: Cut a one inch wide strip of Green cardstock long enough to fit around egg with a little excess; roll and tape closed.
Step B: Cut ovals from template onto Pink and Lavender cardstock. Fold over tip of each oval and adhere around interior of roll. Repeat with a row of smaller ovals if desired (see image below).
Step C: Gently round each oval for dimension.
Step A: Cut an approximately 1-3/4" wide strip of Green cardstock long enough to fit around egg with slight overlap. (Width can be adjusted to fit particular letter stickers if needed.) Then, cut an approximately 1-3/8" wide strip of lighter Green cardstock one quarter inch longer than the original strip.
Step B: Use the craft knife to cut a tight zigzag pattern that resembles grass details.
Step C: Add letter stickers for a name and gently curl out blades of grass for dimension.
