Plaid Valentine Candy Boxes

Fill the Plaid Valentine Candy Boxes with whatever little gifts you want to give your friends and loved ones this Valentine's Day!

Project Instructions

    Carefully remove the ribbon from the acrylic hearts. If the ribbon is in good enough shape, you may want to use it as part of step 4 below.

    Trace the lid of the candy box onto decorative cardstock. Apply a layer of Mod Podge on the box lid and to the back of the cardstock. Place the cardstock on the lid. Apply more Mod Podge to the top, press with your finger until smooth. Apply more Mod Podge as necessary. Smooth your brush strokes and let dry.

    Paint the wood heart Pink. When dry, add 3 coats of Hologram glitter.

    Using hot glue, add ribbon across the box (either the one you removed in step 1 or a different kind), the heart to the top of the box and a silk flower and rhinestone to the heart.
